Headteacher Geraldine is preparing papers for the governors’ meeting.
Papers are sent to governors before each meeting, but Geraldine knows that most of the governors will not read any of them. Or if they do, the majority of governors have no idea what they are about.
Geraldine does not find this surprising because it has taken her 25 years to understand the education system.
Despite her 75 hour working week, Geraldine has to grit her teeth and pretend that the governors are running the school.
